Taco Bell To Offer More $1 Menu Items Come 2020

With many fast food restaurants cutting down on the number of $1 menu items they offer, Taco Bell has increased its number by providing 21 new items come 2020. The brand, to kick off its new $1 menu setup, is bringing back an old fan favorite – the $1 Double-Stacked Tacos in three new flavors:

  • Nacho Crunch
  • Reaper Ranch
  • Chipotle Cheddar

The company is also releasing a $5 Cravings Box for a limited time.

Taco Bell Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing and Consumer Insights Melissa Friebe said this is a critical time to give fans the foods they have longed for and can afford. It’s why the company has developed a menu that includes some innovative items from $1 to $5. She said the $1 commitment is a big thing for the brand, which is why they are bringing back the widely popular Double Stacked Tacos.

This is the time when people consider value to be the most important. And, it’s why Taco Bell chose to offer even more choice with its $1 Double Stacked Tacos, with its layers of flavor. The Double Stacked Taco has both a hard shell and soft tortillas shell, which brings about various flavors that are sure to satisfy people’s taste buds.

Another way people can try the Double Stacked Tacos is with the $5 Chalupa Box, which will include one Crunchy Taco, one Chalupa Supreme and a Double Stacked Taco. It comes with a medium drink as well.

Although it’s a new decade, the leadership with value is nothing new. The company first began in 1962 Southern California, with six items that cost $0.19 apiece. At the time, it was the Crunchy Taco that ruled the restaurant. Since 1962, the brand has committed itself to offer the best food at affordable prices.

In 2014, the brand unveiled its Cravings Value Menu, where even more flavors were introduced with $1 prices.
