Govalle
residents itching for a taste of sandwiches from New York can now
check out the Front Page Restaurant and Bar in the Springdale General
complex.
The
counter-service menu brings many of New York’s delicious sandwiches
to the region with baked-in-house bread to boot. Besides the
sandwiches and other tasty foods to choose from, patrons can check
out the 16 beer taps, cocktails and long wine list.
Texas
natives Andrew Porter and Shaker Hall own Front Page but have worked
in New York City at the Four-Faced Liar Irish bar. Their co-owner Ben
Fordham was a founding partner for Mongoose Versus Cobra in Houston.
He also ran a number of Mexican restaurants in England such as the
Benito’s Hat.
Blue
Sky Design came up with the design for the Front Page restaurant,
giving it a warm looking using wood.
The Front Page Restaurant and Bar will be surrounded by several other shops including a French bakery, hand roll restaurant and coffee shop with its own roasting facility.
