Respected Seattle Chefs To Come To Nordstrom Restaurants In Midtown New York City

Nordstrom’s
seven-story New York City store is set to be the sight of restaurants
operated by two well-known chefs from Seattle – Tom Douglas and
Ethan Stowell.
The
Midtown site is slated to open in October.
Both
chefs have made their mark in Seattle and are now coming to the
Manhattan areas to run and operate the new store Nordstrom has dubbed
its flagship. The Midtown Nordstrom will have six bars and
restaurants, more than other stores currently in operation.
Stowell
will be in charge of the Wolf, which pays respect to Seattle’s How
To Cook A Wolf restaurant. Douglas will run Jeannie’s a pizza shop,
and Hani Pacific. Douglas has run the James Beard award three times
and runs numerous restaurants in Washington state.
Stowell
will be using Pacific Northwest Ingredients for his Italian dishes
such as polenta fritters and other plates. Even when Nordstrom’s
closes down for the night, the restaurant will stay open.
Jeannie’s
is also focused on Italian dishes such as pizza and pasta but is
regarded as a casual break for shoppers needing to satisfy their
hunger. The Hani Pacific restaurant will feature Pacific Rim foods
such as red chile pork ramen and caramelized coconut chicken.
Three
other restaurants going into Nordstrom’s include Bistro Verde,
Broadway Bar and Shoe Bar. The Wolf restaurant can be found on the
third floor, and Hani Pacific and Jeannie’s will be on the store’s
lower level. Broadway Bar is set for the second floor while Bistro
Verde will be located on the fifth floor.
The Midtown location is set to open Oct. 24.
