Pizza chains throughout the nation are thinking outside the box – pizza box, that is.

For Pizza Hut, the chain is adding a new spicy flavor to the wings – New Nashville Hot Wings. It will include cayenne pepper sauce with a combination of sweet, savory and tangy flavors. The wings can come bone-out or traditional.

According to Pizza Hut, the company is heating up its hottest flavor with inspiration by Nashville’s style of spice and southern heat.

Papa John’s is introducing its Jalapeno Popper Rolls to its appetizer menu. Using Papa John’s pizza dough, the rolls will include Philadelphia cream cheese and jalapenos. Customers will get eight rolls and ranch sauce to dip them in.

According to Papa John’s Senior Vice President of Product Innovation Paul Fabre, the Jalapeno Popper Rolls is a unique take on the American classic. He said guests could add a little bit of spice to their pizza night.

Marco’s Pizza has introduced its new crustless pizza with its Specialty Pizza Bowls – All Meat Pizza Bowl, Garden Pizza Bowl and Deluxe Pizza Bowl.

The All-Meat Pizza Bowl will have bacon, ham, pepperoni and Italian sauce baked with its original sauce and three sauces that are topped with Romesan seasoning with Italian spices and herbs.

The Garden Pizza will include black olives, mushrooms, onions and sliced tomatoes baked with the original sauce, have three cheese and feta that are topped with garlic sauce and Romesan seasoning.

The Deluxe Pizza will feature two types of meat – Italian sausage and pepperoni – along with green peppers, onions and mushrooms in the original sauce and three cheeses that are finished off with Romesan seasoning.
