McDonald’s
will still offer the Big Mac and breakfast in the overnight hours,
but the popular restaurant chain has cut back to just eight offerings
on its late-night menu. According to the company, based out of
Chicago, the goal is to improve speed.
The
new late-night menu begins on April 30 and applies to those opened
after midnight restaurants.
The
company said the idea was to ensure customers had a simple, smooth
experience – be it day or night. It said they constantly look for
ways to improve the experience for their customers.
The
eight offerings on the late-night menu will include Quarter Pounder
burgers, Big Mac, All Day Breakfast, Chicken McNuggets, fries, sweets
and treats such as the apple pie, McCafe beverage and Happy Meals.
People who want the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwiches, Artisan
Grilled Chicken Sandwiches, Filet-O-Fish or premium salads can still
get them before the midnight hour strikes.
There are more than 14,000 McDonald’s in the U.S., but it’s not known how many are 24-hour services and which restaurants will be affected by the change.
