McDonald’s Introducing 2 New Chicken Breakfast Sandwiches for 2020

You may not be looking for a Popeye’s Chicken Sandwich anymore, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get one in 2020 with McDonald’s. The fast food chain is releasing two new kinds of chicken sandwiches on its breakfast menu line come January.

These sandwiches are:

  • McChicken Biscuit Sandwich
  • Chicken McGriddle Sandwich

According to a spokesperson for the chain, people should set their alarms in 2020 to see whether the chicken or the egg comes first. Of course, one has to wonder if there is an egg and chicken version of these sandwiches.

Along with the breakfast sandwiches, the company is adding spicy versions of them in select areas beginning in January. There is no word on what they will entail, but would one assume it’s a piece of chicken to replace the normally-seen sausage of the Sausage McBiscuit or McGriddle.

Perhaps the reason to expand its breakfast menu lineup is in response to Wendy’s now offering breakfast and its lineup expansion in 2020. One such lineup will be the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit for those who love honey on their biscuits instead of jam or jelly.

Still, wherever you decide to eat for breakfast in 2020, McDonald’s is hoping you’re going to want chicken and biscuits.
