Jordan Creek Town Center Will Be Home Of Both Union 29 and Pregame Restaurants

Jordan
Creek Town Center is bringing a Midwestern cuisine to the area with
the help of Union 29.
According
to Riley Drive Entertainment Corporate Chef Bradly Gilmore, the
restaurant will serve up locally-sourced Iowa beef and pork with
tasty Midwestern cuisine. He said the restaurant will be in the old
Champps 10,500-square foot building.
Union
29’s name was inspired by the state’s number of joining the union
(Iowa was the 29th
state).
Riley
Drive Entertainment owner Marc Mundt said Union 29 is going to be a
great location and in a gorgeous building. He also said the
restaurant is nothing like Champps.
Union
29 menu will feature Iowa pork with dishes such as tenderloin strips,
house sausage, crispy pork wings, and pork macaroni and cheese. The
menu will also include various flatbreads, pastas, unique dishes and
steaks. The dessert menu is inspired by the Iowa State Fair, which
will include a scotcheroo sandwich and nutty bar.
Gilmore
said the goal is to honor Iowa.
The
restaurant’s bar will also have 29 tap handles all dedicated to the
breweries in Iowa. There will also be 29 wine varieties, bottled
beers and cocktails.
Gilmore
said patrons can get a Bud Light, double old-fashioned with bacon and
cherries or an Iowa craft beer.
Mundt
is also bringing Pregame right next to Union 29. Pregame will offer
sodas mixed with energy drinks, espressos and sundaes and shakes with
bacon. A doughnut robot will make fresh donuts topped with customers’
choices of ice cream, different candies, bacon bits, cereal and
crunch berries.
Gilmore said Pregame is edgy and hip where customers can sit at the bar with their crazy tea and sodas.
