This easy to prepare dish is known to be a mid-western classic. Keep these sweet and sour beets refrigerated and present it as a side dish to your friends and guests.
- 5 Beets
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 1/4 cup Cider vinegar
- Pepper and salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Dry mustard
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
Cut beets into uniform sizes after removing the greens. Boil it for about half an hour. Make sure it’s boiled properly. After draining the beet, rinse it in cold water. Remove beet peels with your finger. After removing the peels, get the beets sliced.
Preparing pickled beet
- Now, prepare the vinaigrette by mixing together olive oil, sugar, dry mustard, and cider vinegar.
- Vinaigrette will get emulsified due to dry mustard. You can add it as per your taste.
- At room temperature, blend the vinaigrette and beets in a bowl and let it marinate for another 30 minutes.
